Photography is properly among the visual Arts, beside Oil Painting and Watercolor Painting. We create Art to express our vision of the world, and of ourselves within that universe. Here I offer my visions.

Photography gives us a closer, or a distanced, view of the world we live in. We can zoom in to details, separate subject from context, and isolate for deep consideration. We can back off to look at the grand view with wide angle or fish eye lenses. We have the artistic power to consider what we see.

Where we place our camera is the root of our viewpoint. The earth, the sea, the sky are all the places we can be. Let us look.

We share this Earth. No matter how deeply we reside in man-made structures, we live because of life. We breathe because of the life forms in the seas. Our bones remember the great forests of the past. Our blood remembers the sea. We are one with the Earth. These are with whom we share it.

Creativity? Why not? We have the tools to create photographs of things that never were. Our creations have something to say about what we feel, what we understand and what we can imagine.
